Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Paro
Your adventure begins with a scenic flight offering spectacular views of the Himalayan Mountains, including the sacred peaks of Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. Upon arrival in Paro, our representative will greet you, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore the historic Paro Dzong and the National Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of Bhutanese art and artifacts. Visit the ancient Kichu Lhakhang before strolling through the charming streets of Paro town.

Day 02: Paro – Hike to Taktsang Monastery ‘Tiger’s Nest’ (3120m)
Embark on an exhilarating hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, perched precariously on a cliff face 900 meters above the valley floor. This sacred site holds great significance in Bhutanese Buddhism, as it is believed to be the birthplace of Buddhism in the country. After the hike, visit the reconstructed Drukgyel Dzong and explore more of Paro Valley’s attractions, including the Ta Dzong Museum and Rimpung Dzong.

Day 03: Paro to Jele Dzong (Trek Starts)
Commence your trek with a climb to Jele Dzong, a historic fortress offering panoramic views of Paro Valley and surrounding snow-capped peaks. The trail winds through dense forests of rhododendrons, providing glimpses of Bhutan’s stunning natural beauty. Camp overnight at Jele Dzong, immersed in the tranquility of the mountains. Day 04: Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha
Continue your trek with a gradual ascent through alpine forests, enjoying views of Mt. Chomolhari and other majestic peaks. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including pheasants and yak herds, as you make your way to the campsite at Jangchulakha. Immerse yourself in the serene surroundings and savor the crisp mountain air. Day 05: Jangchulakha to Jimilangtsho
Follow the ridge trail, marveling at sensational views of the mountains and valleys on clear days. Pass by the picturesque Jimilangtsho lakes, renowned for their giant trout, and camp nearby. Take in the serene beauty of the lakeside setting and relax in the tranquility of the wilderness. Camp Altitude: 3,870m.

Day 06: Jimilangtsho to Simkotra
Trek through dwarf rhododendron forests and past the scenic lake of Janeetsho, encountering yak herders’ camps along the way. Camp near Simkota Lake and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the mountain wilderness. If you’re lucky, catch a lake trout for dinner and savor the flavors of the Himalayas. Camp Altitude: 3,870m.

Day 07: Simkotra to Phajoding to Thimphu
Embark on the final leg of your trek, beginning with a gradual climb offering majestic views of Mt. Gangkar Puensum, Bhutan’s highest peak. Descend to Phajodhing and continue downhill through a forested area to reach Thimphu. Explore the capital city, taking in its cultural landmarks and vibrant atmosphere. Day 09: End of thr tour

Cancellation Period:Cancellations made more than 60 days before the start date: Full refund, minus any non-refundable fees.
Between 30-60 Days:50% refund of the total tour cost.
Between 15-29 Days:25% refund of the total tour cost.
Within 15 Days:No refund.

- Any non-refundable fees incurred by Explore Landlocked Tours & Trek will be deducted from the refund.
- Changes to the itinerary or departure dates are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- In case of unforeseen circumstances leading to tour cancellation by Explore Landlocked Tours & Trek, a full refund will be provided.
- We highly recommend securing travel insurance to cover unexpected events that may lead to cancellations.
- Refunds will be processed using the same method as the original payment. Please allow a reasonable processing time.
