Bhutan Visa Requirements:

  • All Visitors will need a visa to enter Bhutan, except for visitors from India, who will require a permit.
  • Nationals of Bangladesh and the Maldives shall be eligible for a visa on arrival at the port of entry.
  • Visitors can process a visa or permit online from the website of the Department of Immigration. Visitors can also engage tourism service providers to process travel documents and plan a trip.
  • A passport copy is required. The passport must be valid for six months from the intended date of departure from the Kingdom of Bhutan.
  • Travel Insurance is valid for the duration of the trip.

Visa Processing Fee:

  • US$ 40 per person as a visa processing fee

Sustainable Development Fee (SDF):

  • US$ 200 per day per adult
  • Children aged 6 to 12 receive a 50% discount
  • Children below 6 are exempt
  • Calculate SDF: (Number of adults * US$ 200 * Number of days) + (Number of children * US$ 100 * Number of days)

Children below the age of 5 years are exempted from the SDF. However, the visa application fee of USD 40 is still applicable. SDF does not include accommodation, meals, transport, and guides.

  4. Complete payment, including visa fee, SDF, and trip cost.
